Bio

I am a middle-aged man who has met with both happiness and adversity. I have loved, and have lost, but have mostly loved, which makes for a wonderful life.

I love to read. I have always loved to read. So much so that I have shelves of books, boxes of books, and piles of books.

Because I love to read, I decided that a career in writing might be something I would like to do. So, as a former - everything else - I decided to write articles. I found a couple sites that would pay me a bit of money for my skill as a writer.

Then, after many, **many** years of trying that, and having other jobs that never quite paid my bills, I started seeing something else. I started seeing posts from people on social media where they had a hyphen and the word author. I thought. "Huh. I can write. How about I give the word 'author' a try?"

So this year, 2017, I decided to stop with the penny-ante articles and start writing a book. Know what I found out?  Writing books is not an easy thing. Fulfilling as anything else I've ever done, but really, really hard.

So, I returned to my first love; reading. I've been grabbing books of a few different genres and learning how other wordsmiths put their words together.

That being said, I want to thank S.E. Hinton, J. K. Rowling, Ray Bradbury, Jake Biondi, Jex Lane, Mia West, R. Phoenix, Stephen King, Alex Haley, Payton Blaze, and so many, many more, for their unwitting contribution to my own personal journey into writing. As I progress through my first book and subsequent many more, I hope that the books I read in the past many years turn into the books that others read that I've written.
